I do not do many SPOTS (Internet) -- but, I was now curious about what
you were saying --  

IF you go to OUTPUT /  Packet / Send Internet Spot 

the  window that pops up (Send DX Spot) "will be" auto-filled-in with the
VFO FREQ ...

BUT -- just sending a SPOT from the  "Internet Packet"   Toolbar -- will NOT
fill-in the freq .. 

I setup my station a minute ago so that the  "Load Band/Mode" from HF 
transceiver"
was CHECKMARKED .. and I turned-on  my Radio 1

TRY to do the   Output / Packet / Send Internet Spot -- and see if you are
doing something that you did many months ago ...
