To all DXbase2007 users who are running a windows 8.1 operating system and
want to MAKE the DXbase Help Files WORK PROPERLY.. The following is an
update to the PDF FIle that Neal has inside of the DXB2007.zip file .. I
started to
do the Enable HELP FILES to work properly -- and ran into a problem -- in that
the
PDF file is talking about the Windows 7 O/S - and I found out that I needed a
different
URL to go to for the Windows 8.1 O/S ... here is what I have found and I have
been able
to setup the DXbase Help Files all ok now ...

The WINHLP32 program (MSU file) for a WIndows 8.1 computer is
LOCATED AT:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40899

My WIndows 8.1 laptop is a 64 bit system -- so, I chose the .......x64.msu file.

download and install this first ... THEN - since I can NOT find a NEW "Enable
Macros"
for our Windows 8.1 -- if you will follow the steps to MANUALLY Enable Macros -
it will
work all OK:
