I have never ran into this before - because I never change my original settings ...
Here is what happens -- and FYI -- this problem (error) is only noticed on O/s of Windows 7 32 bit -- and Windows 8 64 bit ... I go to the Main Menu/ Tools/ Options/ User Options / Internet TAB And since I have "Screen Updates" defaulted as "DX Info Window" - I change it to the "Internet Window" radio button option ... Then I click OK -- and immediately a pop-up error shows-up as: "The parameter is incorrect" Then I found that changing ANYTHING in that "Internet TAB" - causes the same error ... I am running DXbase2007 ver 1.10 on O/S: Windows XP -- ALL ok.. Windows 7/32 bit -- ERROR Windows 7/64 bit -- ALL ok. Windows 8/64 bit -- ERROR I know - this doesn't make any sense!!!!
