Hi Neal,
This may be a legitimate case where I should uninstall DXBase adn then
reinstall it. I tried that very thing and fund thatthe required files for
uninstalling DXBase were corrupted during my in-place upgrade form Win7 32 to
Win7 64. How do I go about *manually* uninstalling all remnants of DXBase so
that I can do a fresh reinstallation? I have no qualms about using regedit as
long as I know exactly what I need to do with it.

Copy your old log in your documents folder instead of in the program directory
and when DXB starts up, try to open it there. I think you are a victim of file
system virtualization!

That didn't do it, though I now get asked which database I want to open. I
give it the proper one, but I still get the dummy database with only one entry
for AA4LU.

Try going to the Windows firectory and deleting the dxb2007.ini file and
running it again. You will probably have to enter your name and call again. Do
not import any old ini files if it gives you the option.

But... I do remember entering my name with my middle initial. Is the
registration file hashed to my exact registration name? If so, I've screwed
that up... 73, Kim N5OP

Is it showing that you are registered? When it comes to opening the program,
does it offer you the chance to open a database?

I have (so far) successfully upgraded my Win7 32 bit system to Win7 64.
I have the 64 bit DXBase 2007 registration file and have successfully
applied it; I've moved current copies refdata.mdb and N5OP.mdb into the
installation directory. But, when I open DXBase, I don't see *my* log:
instead I see the initial dummy log containing only one entry for
AA4LU. I'm *this* close...
What am I doing wrong?
