recently I got a new Win 10 computer and amongst other things imported DXBase
program and files to it. this replaced a Win 7 machine on which I have used
dxbase for many years. when setting up the new machine I simply mirrored every
election from the old machine, such as alerts, internet, etc. couple of
questions have developed as I use it.
- the DX Info screen: my old Win 7 machine in the "origins" column shows the
call of the station making the spot (which is useful especially on 6 meters
where propagation differences are extreme). the new Win 10 machine "origins"
column only shows 1 or 2 letters - can't even tell it's a call. just "F" or "L"
or "B" e.g. (and yes I have plenty of room in column to fit any length call).
strange, can't figure out why doesn't show full call
- Internet cluster screen:    a) Win 7 machine in Alert column shows "DX" next
to every spot (with either "x" or check mark in QSY column)
Win 10 machine does not show anything in either column for many spots.
why? (no difference in my user           options alerts chart compared to Win
7)  also it doesn't update previous qso toollbar or summary window for
a spot with no "DX" notation. why are some spots not being marked "DX"???
    b) Win 7 machine - I can click on any spot and the summary window and
previous qso toolbar are both updated           for that call.
Win 10 machine - clicking on a spot does not update anything either
summary window or previous qso toolbar.          this is true whether or not
there is a "DX" in alert column
nuisance because I often do this to check whether I have worked the
spotted station before
hope somebody can help with these questions.
