I've encountered this too, but I have done nothing about it:
1) because I'd just upgraded my jpeg library, and thought it may be due
to some old (wrong) header files laying about;
2) because dr14 is just around the corner! :)
n.b., I have both E13.3 and Imlib 1.3 (not tried to run E since before the
release of 1.4).
