On 16-Jun-98 William Byrd playfully chanted: | Greetings to all, [snip] | First request, don't hate me. [snip KDE problem that isn't E's fault] | Last question(s): Where do I get docs on the format for fonts for DR14 | and for DR14 themes. I have literally thousands of fonts that it would | be easy enough for me to screen cap or make in GIMP, photoshop or | whatever (yeah, I'm still learning GIMP, so is still use PS) and apply | color/shading, etc to for use with E, I just gotta know what to do with | 'em. Download Fnlib (I believe it's on the ftp.labs.redhat.com site). In it there's a little description of what you should do generally. If you install it, I think you'll find that the information will be with the fonts themselves (/usr/local/Fnlib_fonts)... just use "less" or a text editor to read the config files. Raster has a split-up font set. You needn't do that since it's a lot of work--keep the font as a single piece and tell Fnlib the startpoint and size of the box of the character within the graphic. I'll get around to having this automated for monotype (same-sized) character sets sometime soon if I have time. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Do we chase our tail or the moon when we follow the path of self-modification with out objectivity? - To unsubscribe from this list send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message contents: unsubscribe e-develop
