This is not strictly on the topic of e-gold and I don't hold high hopes
for it's success, but I may have a way to bring worldwide media exposure
to e-gold however I need the widespread help of e-gold account holders.

I have been trying for months to organise sponsorship for an entry in the
London to Sydney air race next year <www.airrace.com.au>. Large corporations just
don't want
to know and I am running out of time to sort something out. (Some of the
companies not interested are: IBM, Nike, AMD and Virgin)

If I could raise part of the funds I need from e-gold members it would not
only help with raising the rest of the money but I would paint the
airplane I will fly with e-gold logos and put logos on the flying suits of
myself and my co-pilot. The event will receive global TV coverage and be
the subject of a TV documentary afterwards. The 7 network is covering it
in Australia and will make the documentary.

The total cost may be as high as A$204,000 (US$110,160) but will probably
be about A$170,000 (US$91,800). This includes the purchase of the
airplane for the race and the entry fee of A$53,000 (US$28,620).

So if anyone out there wants to make a contribution it will be much
appreciated. I won't be able to recognise all contributors individually,
unless the response is very small, but e-gold will get some good
publicity.

There is also the fact that I will receive much more media attention than
many other entrants because I am legally blind. Check out my web site:
<www.iinet.net.au/~biggles/>
I have nothing on my web site about this yet because I have been keeping
it quiet until now. I will however keep an online journal, photo album
and log book of my journey.

Also, I know there was a script you could put on a web page to let people
see your account balance. If anyone has it please e-mail it to me and I
will put up a page with it so everyone can see the progress, or lack
of.(please send it soon, I will be leaving for the Paralympics in 4 days
and will have no access to a computer until Nov 4. If I get it, the page
will be at <www.iinet.net.au/~biggles/e-gold.htm>)

Contributions of any amount will help.
