That was what I was asking for clarification about.  All distribution
schemes are pyramids for any manufactured and distributed product.  That's
not the problem.

I think a "Ponzi Scheme" by definition is something that claims to earn a
return on an investment, but actually the new people's investments are being
used to make the first ones in appear to have a real return.  Ponzi's always
blow up within a certain number of levels.
