Anonymity is one of the most potent weapons a common man can have against tyranny. If Gold Money was forced by government to institute the KYC policy, as were all the banks, then I can understand. It's either do that, or die. In such a case, I would have put a disclaimer in the message saying that the KYC policy was forced upon Gold Money. If Gold Money simply thinks that KYC is a good idea, independent of government intervention, then I think it is a shame. Of course, Gold Money is a business, and they can do what they like. If KYC is a good business tool and makes business sense, then kudos for Gold Money. I can't speak for others, but I would not use a KYC financial system if I could help it.
