> Yeah fair enough! > > (Perhaps we should use http://longbets.com ?!) Looks really good at first glance! > I said by "early next year" they would have "put up a 4 or 5 word > note" mentioning what the extra gold is. > > PCH, you say it won't happen until AFTER Jun 6, right? That kind of language can get vague, with people thinking that AFTER Jun 6 means Jun 7 or some such. I will say that there is a specific point in time which I call "the juncture", and the juncture is midnight GMT of 06-Jun-2003. If we get the information BEFORE the juncture, you win. If we get the information ON OR AFTER the juncture, or never, I win. So actually when you think about it, the juncture is really the point at which Friday 06-Jun-2003 BEGINS (since it's midnight). OH, and by the way, the information must be SPECIFIC. It can't just be "Other Liability" or something like that. It has to be something like "Liability to e-gold, Ltd.", "Equity of SPTrust", or something along those lines. If it's divided among multiple ledger accounts, then each account must also be specific. > That's a nice little derivative (or something) you've got going > there with Ray!! :) (The 30 grams in question is who's asset right > now?! :) ) I don't -- it was originally tongue-in-cheek. Jim Ray just now said he doesn't have the numbers, but I figured he could coax the people who do. Besides, that whole thing sounds unethical and I don't mean to insult Jim Ray. The serious bet is between you and me. With Jim Ray out of the picture, my positive expectation is 6gg. (80%*10gg - 20%*10gg). OK, 10 grams is on the table, JP. We'll formalize it at longbets later. - -- Patrick -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBPP5Ba1A7g7bodUwLEQKz6wCeKJ2NAWEAC7rK3p1mAfJMPp2zplUAoOM5 Qe4GxUuCKwxqPS5xGD0quHSn =+fsL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: archive@jab.org To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
