Depends on where you are looking, my guess from your post is that
you are looking at the stub whois record in the central registry
whois, i.e.

   Domain Name: EVOCASH.COM
Registrar: CORE INTERNET COUNCIL OF REGISTRARS
   Whois Server: whois.corenic.net
   Referral URL: http://www.corenic.net
   Name Server: DNS1.EVO-CASH.COM
   Name Server: DNS2.EVO-CASH.COM
   Updated Date: 05-nov-2001

If you want to see the full record, use a universal whois like
http://www.easywhois.com which will show you the whole record:

   Record expires: 2002-10-26 18:57:43 UTC

   Domain servers in listed order:

   dns1.evo-cash.com
   dns2.evo-cash.com

Database last updated on 2002-08-09 21:37:50 UTC

It also works for country-code domains, etc.
