Dear Friends,

Several recent messages on the subject of scammers
and fraud sites have been posted. Of course, there
is an outfit being organized to address these
problems, and others, in our industry. That group
is the Global Digital Currencies Association, GDCA.
Of course, it does take time to get things organized,
and those of us in the group have our own businesses
to run, etc.

I seem to recall having made some exchanges with
the Bishops of Bishops Gold and with GoldNow with
good results. I've also dealt with Patrick of
AnyGoldNow with excellent results. And, I've met
Patrick who flew to Houston to discuss our mutual
business opportunities some weeks back. I think it
is very wrong to impugn guys like Patrick, Graham,
or the Bishops merely on the basis that some jerks
use their business names on scam web sites. It
is wrong because what appears on other web sites
is out of the control of those being impugned.
People are responsible for what they do and say,
and not for what someone else does or says. Though,
I'm sure that there is some interest in suing the
scammers for infringing on the use of these trade
names.

I don't think Incremental Gold is one I've dealt
with myself, and there are a number of much more
specific accusations against them which bear further
review.

Michael Moore writes:
That is just A=A=A thinking. i.e. anything equals
anything.
Well, that isn't proper symbolic logic at all. The
equation "a is a" or A=A is actually a very valid
statement, and vitally important in logic. It is
also one which Ayn Rand uses to good effect in
her novel _Atlas Shrugged_.

A more appropriate way to write anything equals
anything would be * = * where the asterisk is
the wildcard character for anything.

The notion that reporting some scam sites to this list
is the way to move forward quickly is a bit silly. A
discussion list is for discussion, it is not for action.
Actions are taken by outfits like the Due Diligence
Unit at e-gold. I think their address is
  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
So, if you haven't e-mailed them with your concerns,
you should. They are the proper recipients of messages
about scams involving e-gold.

Similarly, contact GoldMoney.com and e-Bullion.com.
Both have low tolerance for fraud and scam operations,
and both take actions as appropriate.

See next days, all these alive and scamming websites will
still be up, with the help of Ragnar's not caring, and
GoldNow, BishopsGold and Incremental Gold's support.
I see that you are specifically impugning Ragnar of
GoldAge. I'm confused why you would want to do that.
Ragnar is one of the good guys.

Regards,

Jim
