I'd like to thank everyone who replied - especially all the private mails I got. Basically, I wanted to know who the people behind 1mdc were and how many here knew them and had done business with them. I got great reviews, recommendations and not a single negative remark.
The business model does indeed make sense as it only costs 1mdc.com a few cents in storage fees with e-gold to 'acquire' new customers and as ultimately those customers are likely to trade amongst each other which is when 1mdc.com will make money. At that time they could even afford to undercut e-gold's transaction fees and still make money. It's all about volume, really :o) So thanks again to everyone that replied.
