One new scam claims to be from "Promotions" and calls itself the great e-gold giveaway.
It tells you to log into your account, and offers a link for that purpose. Then it says that winners will be notified within 48 hours of logging in.
So, if you don't want to be one of those "winners" and find out that your e-gold passphrase was stolen and your account emptied, DON'T LOG INTO YOUR E-GOLD ACCOUNT BY CLICKING ON ANY LINK IN ANY E-MAIL. EVER!
There is no such thing as [EMAIL PROTECTED] And the message sent out has a few spelling errors which I won't point out this time.
The best way to get to the *real* log-in screen at e-gold is to go to your browser location window and type use.e-gold.com which will take you automagically to the secure screen.
Don't trust look-alikes. Don't trust e-mails. It is your gold, and you have to be looking out for it.
