A MAN yesterday admitted his involvement in what is believed to have been
Australia's first ATM skimming scheme.

The court heard Ng was part of a skimming fraud that robbed 315 Sydney
customers of the Westpac, Commonwealth and St George Banks of $623,426 in
October last year.

A skimming machine was put inside the ATMs to get electronically coded
information on the keycard and a small camera was placed above the
keyboard to gain users' PINs.
