Hello all,
I am currently using 82571EB chip over fiber medium, along with
kernel 2.6.23.9.
Few of our use-case scenarios involve shutting down and start of
interface.
On fiber medium, interface shutdown does not work. Is this known issue ?
According to documentation, setting bit 11 on PHY_CONTROL register
should shutdown the channel.
On copper medium, interface shutdown works according to above mentioned
procedure.
