Andre,

Just to give you an update. I found a power6 system (520), but for some reason 
the driver fails to obtain MSI-X interrupts. The issue is different from the 
one you are seeing - the call to pci_enable_msix fails with -28. I tried other 
drivers with the same result. 

Do you have any ideas on what could be wrong? Could you provide your kernel 
config?

Also, if you could file a bug at e1000.sf.net that would be great.
