Hi, I agree that the page is not very helpful, there has no effort spent on this since a long time. I think any improvements and contributions are welcome here. The e4 tools are currently move to the platform project (see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=452061), so they are not relevant for this build anymore. For the other questions I kindly ask Paul to step in.
