I can't find bug list archives for any posts earlier than April 2002, but i've posted at least twice before about the CTRL-[ and CTRL-] functionality, and why (in 3 out of the 4 use cases) i think it's just plain broken (and if you don't believe that it's broken, try positioning the cursor immediately after a close brace/bracket/paren, type CTRL-[ and then notice where the cursor ends up).
As far as I know, this feature has never worked correctly and so i've all but forgotten that it's even there. JetBrains folks, *please* fix this (or at least give us an estimate on when we might see a fix so I can stop annoying everyone with my whining about it :) I should add, however, that: 1) I still think that buying my IDEA license is probably the best $200 i've ever spent 2) I still maintain that IDEA is by far the best application of any kind for any platform that i've ever used. (The same goes for its customer support, too) 3) Nearly every day my co-workers and i sing the "You've got to love IntelliJ IDEA!" tune. So, if CTRL-[ and CTRL-] is the biggest thing i have to whine about, then JetBrains is doing a dang fine job. :D thanks, chris > -----Original Message----- > From: Scott Sirovy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, June 24, 2002 11:35 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [Eap-bugs] Re: go to matching brace? > > > > If I have the cursor after the end brace (or end tag) how do I go to > > beginning tag.
