I think Intellij has planes to integrate "code folding" in the release after
pandora.. I don't imagine that it would be much harder to add arbitrary file
folding... Sounds like a good feature for XML and HTML as well, being able
to crunch some nasty element down to one line would make my scrolling finger
very happy....
