This is an old request. Mike has promised that this would be taken care in the VCS api. Since my company is using clearcase we dearly need this enhancement. We are talking about a configurable way to make files writable through the VCS api. This could do a "checkout" for VSS and Clearcase, an "edit" for CVS,... The menu available with CVS in the refactoring preview would be available to all VCS controlled projects and would kick off the previously mentioned "make writable" action. Any comments?
