One obvious solution would be to add an item to the popup.  I.e., after 
you press Alt-Enter you would have *two* choices, "define method", and 
"define method - configurable".  The default would be the quick one. 
But with a single press of the down-arrow you could bring up a dialog to 
more fully configure your method.
