Not what you asked for, but this might sufficient for your needs(?).
<ctrl>+<c> Copies the entire line if no selection is made (line is placed in
"clipboard").
<ctrl>+<x> Cuts out the entire line if no selection is made (line is placed in
"clipboard").
<ctrl>+<d> Duplicates the entire line if no selection is made ("clipboard" unchanged).
<ctrl>+<y> Always removes the current line ("clipboard" unchanged).
