More and more I think it would be really useful. Because I have a big part of my files that are in windows encoding, and I wish to convert everything that is not UTF-8 to UTF-8. Really handy feature! I've seen that on different editors, like in UltraEdit which allow to convert from one encoding to another. Moreover, I've seen an interesting and similar feature within XMLSpy. You have the line: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> And the file is encoded in UTF-8. Then you go to the file menu, and change the encoding, and it changes (of course) both the encoding of the file, and the declaration. It'd be really nice to support that !!!!
