I would just like to be able to "Float" editor panes. This would give me all I need, as I could easily resize windows to view things side-by-side, and also put one editor pane on one monitor while the rest of IDEA is on another in a multi-monitor set-up. Floating the editor panes I think would give everyone at least one way of getting what they want.
