So, why is this relevant?  I had already seen this.  I'm not asking for IDEA
to be associated with .java files.  I'm asking for IDEA to be a drag'n drop
target.  I could drag other things than java files into it, which is usually
what I want (xml files most often).

How is this different from extracting the file to a temporary location,
clicking file|open and navigating to that location?  Other than dropping the
file is a WHOLE lot easier and less annoying.

Was my request misunderstood, or just glossed over?
