I don't think that rendering the formula inline like that would be a good idea. I is important to see exactly what methods are called on what classes.
How about a popup window? Maybe you can write a plugin to do this :) A formula editor could help with other things, not only redering: could show the exact type of subexpressions, where implicit type conversions are done, ...
