+10 here for XML layout. Currently I'm doing it in IDEA by myself! :-(

If the extention is ".xml" the CTRL-ALT-F hotkey should provide layout
functionality like the one for java files. Maybe configurable for
different styles (new line for new attribute, indentation with, ...)
Furthermore it would be nice to have an XML-Validator integrated.
