Valentin, This happens to me, too. My team recently switched to "end of line" for the opening braces where I had been "next line", myself.
I think the problem is that *in both modes* hitting ENTER after the word
"static" puts the cursor out like Nithy showed (I have four-spaces per tab):
static
|
Now I enter a "{" and hit ENTER, giving:
static
{
|
}
