Could not replicate but I'm sure it can cause a potential problem.
IDEA had 10 files open 9 of which were java and 1 a text file. After viewing
one java file switching the editor tab to the text file it wasn't echoing
the keyboard characters to the screen in the focused text document. The text
cursor was shown and the tab was highlighted but it did not matter how many
characters were typed, it acted as if the keyboard was not sending any typed
characters. Luckily, I found out later through the use of a CVS diff that
the previously edited java file had all the characters that I attempted to
write. I found that I had to close and reopen the text file to sort the
problem.
