We need to develop an application that would allow our clients to upload files that would be well over the 16 MB limit that FUPLOAD has. Currently, clients use FTP to send us their files and then call or email us with any instructions. We want to automate this process so instructions are submitted at the time the file is uploaded. While we would prefer to use CGIDEV2/RPG for such a process, we are not interested in making this task overly complicated. Here are my questions:
1) How difficult would it be to change the file upload utility to accept file sizes larger than 16MB?
2) Does anyone know of an alternative method that we could use?
We've already discussed using a Java applet to transmit the file. If you know of any specific applications that exists or any other alternatives, please let us know.
