FYI -

I think that there are few world-class innovators in this group here
worthy of some recognition!

Dear ________________

More than ever before, organizations are using IBM iSeries systems to
drive new levels of IT and business innovation. Earlier this year
COMMON introduced the IBM eServer iSeries Innovation Awards to
showcase and share best practices, and to recognize outstanding
customer achievements. The award program was a huge success with more
than 50 customers nominated in five categories and culminating in an
exceptional event where the five winners were honored for their
innovation (link to url for 2005 winners --
http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/innovationawards/).

We are pleased to announce that the nominations for the 2006 iSeries
Innovation Awards are now open. We will recognize customer award
winners in five categories:

* Application Deployment Award: Best practice award for the
innovative deployment of industry and business applications or custom
applications, including RPG, COBOL, Java and other custom solutions
running on the IBM eServer iSeries or eServer i5 systems.

* Business Resiliency Award Best practice award focused on business
continuity and resiliency, and demonstrating high availability,
security and compliance, and business protection solutions using IBM
eServer iSeries or eServer i5 systems.

* Infrastructure Simplification Award: Best practice award that
demonstrates cost-effective server management, as well as application
integration, capacity on demand, and overall IT simplification
solutions deployed on eServer iSeries or eServer i5 systems supporting
multiple operating environments such as Linux, AIX, and Windows.

* i5/OS Focus Award: The magic of iSeries is captured in the
innovation of i5/OS solutions. This award is for the best practice of
using i5/OS as 'the' strategic and primary operating environment for
running your entire business.

* Education Excellence Award: Best practice in education excellence
for an iSeries customer, college or university that has demonstrated
outstanding commitment to the IBM eServer iSeries community and
provided ongoing education support of iSeries technology and
solutions.

The award winners and their teams will be honored at our iSeries
Innovation Award banquet, to be held at the Spring 2006 COMMON
Conference and Expo in Minneapolis on Monday, March 27, 2006.

Nominations are open now and are extended through Tuesday, January 31,
2006. To submit a nomination or to get more information, please visit
the awards site at: www.ibm.com/iseries or www.common.org.

The iSeries Innovation Awards recognize business and IT innovation at
the highest level. We encourage you to submit a nomination today.
