I down loaded the utilities from http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/enable/site/porting/iseries/overview/gnu_utilities.html
I loaded and installed these on the iseries, then ran the install program. I call QP2TERM and try to run the command gunzip PGPcmdln_6.5.8.AIX_FW.tar.gz I get gunzip PGPcmdln_6.5.8.AIX_FW.tar.gz /QOpenSys/usr/bin/-sh: gunzip: 0403-006 Execute permission denied. His is the ls -ld from this lrwxrwxrwx 1 dt 0 56 Mar 12 04:26 gunzip -> /qsys.lib/gnu.lib/gunzip.pgm Which shows all authority, and my user ID has all authority. I can run the java command, but I cannot run the gunzip command without getting an permissions error. my ID has all obj authority Do you know what I am doing wrong?
