In turn, I would like to thank all the Cyprus hackathon hosts, the participants
and, also, the other online fellows for the rich contributions of last month.

This release is really bringing a lot more extras, on top of addressing
a good bunch of the corner cases, and occasional bugs, that have been spotted.

which includes the very latest of GCC (4.8.2), OpenMPI (1.7.3) & OpenBLAS
(0.2.8).
This "goolf" toolchain spin may be used later on for goolfc (ie add CUDA on
top).

A word of warning though: it is not all roses, since GCC/4.8.x can be very
pedantic
with dubious C/C++ code that has been compiling fine before, so watch out
compatibility.
If you discover info which affects optimal OSS toolchain, please report it in
an issue.

thanks,
Fotis

ps.
v1.9 is left for an overnight run around here and, so far, is happily building
through :)
