Hello EasyBuilders,
This is a friendly reminder to register if you're planning to attend the
EasyBuild User Meeting in Ghent at the end of this month (Wed-Fri Jan
28-30 2016).
Please note that attendance is free, but registration is required for
practical reasons (catering, group dinner, etc.).
Register via:
http://webapps.ugent.be/eventManager/events/FirstEasyBuildUserMeeting
The agenda is now more-or-less in it's final form, see
https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild/wiki/1st-EasyBuild-User-Meeting#agenda
.
If you would like to give a site presentation, there is still some room
for that. Let me know if you're interested in explaining others how you
have integrated EasyBuild at your site.
regards,
Kenneth

Hello EasyBuilders,
I'm happy to announce that we will be organizing the 1st EasyBuild
User Meeting on Wed-Fri Jan 27-29 2016 at HPC-UGent (Ghent, Belgium,
http://www.ugent.be/hpc/en), the birth place of EasyBuild.
This event is purposely planned right before the weekend in which
FOSDEM'16 takes place in Brussels (where we hope to host an HPC
devroom again, like we did at FOSDEM'14 [1]).
The format we have in mind is a bit different from the EasyBuild
hackathons/workshops we have (co-)organized in the past (and will
continue to in the future), in the sense that the EasyBuild User
Meeting is intended for people that are already familiar with
EasyBuild, ranging from occasional users to EasyBuild core developers
and experts, and that topics will be less introductory in nature.
The program will feature presentations by both EasyBuild users and
developers, next to hands-on sessions.
The presentations will cover a wide variety of EasyBuild-related
topics, including how EasyBuild has been integrated into existing
infrastructure, how it can be combined with other tools, (new)
EasyBuild features that are considered particularly useful, or other
tools that are somehow (loosely) related to EasyBuild and could be of
interest to attendees.
The hands-on sessions are intended for becoming more familiar with the
practical aspects of EasyBuild, resolving problems with the help of
others, and/or working together to further enhance EasyBuild.
Participants are expected to decide for themselves what they work on
during the hands-on sessions.
More (preliminary) information is available at
https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild/wiki/1st-EasyBuild-User-Meeting .
Attendance is free of charge, but registration is *required* for
practical purposes via
http://tokyoap2.ugent.be/eventManager/events/FirstEasyBuildUserMeeting .
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions w.r.t. this
event.
Looking forward to meeting you in Ghent!
regards,
Kenneth
