This is a side effect of minimal-toolchains (which I think you've started to
play with) because the dependencies within the easyconfig are being fiddled
with. In the install directory under the easybuild folder you will find a new
directory that contains a dump of the original file.

It seems with EB3 that the "easyconfig" stowed
in $EASYBUILD_REPOSITORYPATH no longer resembles
the original easyconfig.

I looked through the release notes at:

http://easybuild.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Release_notes.html

and didn't see mention of the change.

e.g. this (after cleaning which worked with 2.x) is not what I had:

http://www.siliconslick.com/easybuild/ebfiles_repo_cleaned/terra/python-hostlist/python-hostlist-1.16-foss-2016a-Python-2.7.11.eb

I had %(pyver)s in the version suffix and didn't have the parallel stuff
in the middle. Is there a way to generate the old format repo files until
I can adapt (though I don't think I will since I don't like things being
resolved
like that...... maybe provide the original and then how it was resolved but I'd
like a copy of the original of stuff that works in the repo).
