Dear David, We always use the open source edition so this is handled within the easyblock for qt: https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild-easyblocks/blob/master/easybuild/easyblocks/q/qt.py#L80
In other words, you shouldn't need to do anything, building QT should "just work". If this is not working then can you post the error from the log file (it is not likely to be related to this particular option).
