Dear EasyBuilders,

This is a friendly reminder to register for the next EasyBuild User Meeting (EUM) if you plan to attend, see more information below (and also via https://tiny.cc/eum19).

We also still welcome talk proposals, both on EasyBuild topics (local setups, etc.) and related topics (other installation tools, tools that can be used together with EasyBuild, etc.).
See https://indico.cism.ucl.ac.be/event/4/abstracts/ .

In addition, I would like to invite you to also attend FOSDEM-2019 (https://fosdem.org), which takes places in Brussels the weekend directly after the EUM (Feb 2-3 2019).

By annual tradition, I'm co-organizing the HPC devroom at FOSDEM, and we are still looking for submissions there as well.

See https://hpc-bigdata-fosdem19.github.io/ for more information.
Deadline for submission is Nov 23rd 2018.

Next to the HPC devroom there will also be FOSDEM'19 devrooms on Python, Quantum Computing and "Machine Learning on Code", see https://fosdem.org/2019/schedule/tracks/ .

regards,

Kenneth

Dear EasyBuilders,

We're happy to share that we have confirmed the dates & location for the
4th EasyBuild User Meeting early next year...

location: Louvain-la-Neuve, co-organised by HPC-UGent (BE) & CISM-UCLouvain (BE)
dates: Wed Jan 30th - Fri Feb 1st 2019.

We have deliberately planned this event shortly before the FOSDEM'19
open source meeting  in Brussels the weekend after, to allow
attendees to combine both events easily (see https://fosdem.org/2019/).

Registration is now open: <http://www.cism.ucl.ac.be/eum>htpp://www.cism.ucl.ac.be/eum
Note that attendance is free, but registration is mandatory.

The overall format of the EasyBuild User Meetings is to have a 50-50
split between presentations & hands-on sessions, where presentations
cover a variety of topics that are (loosely) related to EasyBuild, and
the hands-on sessions allow you to work on aspects of EasyBuild you care
about, with the help from other attendees, including EasyBuild
developers & maintainers.

The agenda is still being planned. If you consider to give one presentation on either a specific topic and/or a site report (or both) complete the associate link: https://indico.cism.ucl.ac.be/event/4/abstracts/

The wiki page on the 4th EasyBuild User Meeting at. https://github.com/easybuilders/easybuild/wiki/4th-EasyBuild-User-Meeting
and the indico page of the event: https://indico.cism.ucl.ac.be/event/4/
will be updated as more information becomes available.

Feel free to contact us ([email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>) for more information and specific requests.

regards,

Kenneth (HPC-UGent, [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> ) Olivier (CISM-UCLouvain, [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> )
