Dear EasyBuilders,
For those of you considering to attend FOSDEM, the large open source
software meetup that is organised in Brussels every year, there's good news!
At FOSDEM'26 (Sat-Sun 31 Jan + 1 Feb 2026, https://fosdem.org/2026),
there will be a variety of interesting devrooms, including:
* Package Management
-
https://blog.ecosyste.ms/2025/11/06/fosdem-2026-package-managers-devroom-cfp.html
- on Saturday, half day (morning)
* Bioinformatics & Computational Biology
- https://lists.fosdem.org/pipermail/fosdem/2025q4/003648.html
- on Saturday, half day (afternoon)
* Software Performance
- https://lists.fosdem.org/pipermail/fosdem/2025q4/003692.html
- on Sunday (all day)
* HPC, Big Data, and Data Science
- https://hpc-bigdata-fosdem26.github.io
- on Sunday (all day)
- co-organised by Kenneth Hoste & Adam Huffman (EasyBuild maintainers)
If you would like to propose a talk in these devrooms yourself, keep in
mind that the deadline for this is typically Monday 1 Dec 2025, so quite
close.
Talk proposals are very light-weight however, basically a talk title +
abstract in plain text (couple of paragraphs).
An overview of accepted devrooms (all 65 of them) is available at
https://fosdem.org/2026/schedule/tracks/
Hope to see you in Brussels early next year!
regards,
Kenneth
