John:
Hello! Let me take a shot at explaining the logic of the "connection
groups" first. It works like this:
1. A 1st user connects using a 1st "User ID" and a password. Based on
the password they provide, the echoServer places them into exactly
one "connection group".
2. A 2nd user connections using a 2nd "User ID" and a password.
Same as above.
3. When the 1st user wants to initiate a connection to the 2nd user,
the 1st user provides the 2nd "User ID" as their target "Partner ID".
4. The echoServer then searches the connection group of the 1st
user. If it finds *exactly one* matching "Partner ID", it will initiate
a
relayed connection.
The most common reasons this can fail:
a. An intended connection partner is not actually part of the same
connection group.
b. More than one user is connected using the same Partner-ID.
Hope that helps!
