Heyaz. So the "mini VNC Server" described below is
available for BETA testing; I'd be interested in any feedback:ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoVNC/echoWinVNC_BETA_12July05.zip The echoWare-enabled VNC Server that runs as a service has a bug, where the VNC connection stops when the session transitions from the Windows login screen to the user desktop. Once that's figured out, I'll post more details about how to get that one. thanks, Scott

I agree: it's a little too annoying that EchoVNC is a seperate install from a VNC Server. It's two downloads, two setups, twice as much to debug, etc. So here's our plan: 1. We're testing a "full fledged" VNC Viewer and VNC Server right now has echoWare built right in. This release will be fully interoperable with EchoVNC as it is now (ie, an EchoVNC Viewer session can connect to this VNC Server; one of these VNC Viewers can connect with an EchoVNC Server), and fully operable with "regular" VNC as well. 2. We're testing a "mini VNC Server" similar to UltraVNC's "Single Click". This mini-Server can be preconfigured to connect to a specific echoServer address. Once it's connected, either the EchoVNC Viewer or the VNC Viewer from #1 can be used to remote the PC that the mini-Server is running on. Please let me know if you'd be intrested in very early beta-testing of either piece. They're both operational right now, but need another week or so (IMO) of fine tuning. cheers, Scott
