Mark:

Correct: the echoServer which connects echoWare-enabled
programs together is available both in Linux and Windows.

EchoWare itself is a Windows DLL, so all "echoWare-enabled
programs" (e.g., Kaboodle, EchoVNC, etc.) are all Windows-only.

        Hope that helps clarify...

Can I just check I understand this exchange please:

"EchoVNC is free and Windows-only."  http://echovnc.sourceforge.net/fom-serve/cache/2.html || "We operate Unix servers and there aren't sufficient directions for me to install the software."
I had assumed that Vincent was looking to use echoVNC under Linux
...but, as Scott indicates, http://echovnc.sourceforge.net/fom-serve/cache/6.html
the Echo server can also be Linux and so in-house server can support
the organisation's EchoVNC under Windows systems.  - Correct ?
