I must be daft (disclosure: pretty tired), but when I run EchoVNC on two separate machines and then connect them to the demo server, nothing happens. I don't get the VNCviewer.exe, or a remote desktop screen or anything. Is there another step I am supposed to make? Do I have to run the Echoserver locally on each machine as well? I thought the EchoVNC was a viewer, and you didn't need a PC-side server if you connected through an outside server, like the Demo server?
The FAQ on EchoAgent.com doesn't address any of these issues. And you guys need to work on the site…please! It's very hard to find info on the products in a straightforward way.
2 machines, running XP Home and Pro, no Windows Firewall on either, ZoneAlarm shut down, MS Antispyware running on same. Regular NAT Linksys router, nothing special.
I thought the advantage was that this was Zero configuration?
Thanks,
craiger
