        Hmmm. That's actually how echoServer is supposed to work, of course.  
Once
you're connected, you can establish a relayed connection with another  
connected user.

        When you see the popup box displaying "connected", but no remote  
desktop
is shown, is this connection to a server that's already receiving a  
VNC connection?
Also, exactly what client software are you running on that target  
server, and on the
viewer PC?

        You're right, it's not easy to find: if you right-click on the VNC  
Viewer window
banner (at the top, next to the usual minimize and go-away boxes),  
you should
see an "Options" selection, which allows you to turn up or down the  
resolution.
