I have to say that i've always found ways around this ... but maybe on
two levels... a daemon style mode which will self restart (useful on
bogged down pc's that you have to kill a ton of services on (ie
infections)) and another option to not install as service but to startup
on a one time load style method ... being though - this would need to be
two things... (using gotomypc.com as the example - the support desk
version) 1) the remote controller would need this functionality to
request this built in on the fly which would then add it to the CU - RO
startup mode... (of course reusing the same settings and also saving the
authentication token (PIN#) to make it the same so the tech doesn't need
to figure this out on thier own... and then 2) ask the user for the
login so the restart can continue unattended... (and then restore the
autologin status to the prior mode on instantvnc)

and thanks for everything you do scott... it's becoming very quickly an
application that is extremely useful for me and my clients... (i'm still
doing that load testing and have loved the higher stability with each
beta and RC and release)

oh btw - guess what ... i have the client running perfectly under WINE
in linux... next up finding a way to make the server mode work
(integrating with the VNC server in ubuntu or other X11 mode). it's
actually pretty simple... but appears complex until you see that one
tiny thing that is like wow..... (like doing the rc.d scripts ... )
