Fixed in 5.2 branch (changeset 8b6a6ab2168a)
I was able to fix & launch complex proprs tests in TestCompassBackendInternals
within my IDE
and to write a unit test for this case.
Overall compass backend tests have been deactivated for a way too long time
I suppose that 5.1 has the same problem (really look like it has never been
implemented), but no time to merge it properly in 5.1 now, so
I leave the issue open.
