SOUTHEAST U.S. REGIONAL INTERAGENCY ENDANGERED SPECIES RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

The purpose of this workshop is to share information on current technologies 
and research products available, lessons learned in practical application of 
these technologies, and on-going and planned research designed to enhance 
protection and conservation of threatened and endangered species within the 
context of the Southeastern U.S. (future workshops are planned for other 
regions).  The scope of this workshop does not include the presentation of 
status reports, case studies, or other efforts relating to individual species.

The first part of the workshop will consist of panel presentations focusing 
on threatened and endangered species research and development activities and 
needs for land management organizations.  In the second part, working groups 
will identify similarities and differences in current approaches, evaluate 
mutual research and development needs, and identify joint research and 
development opportunities.  These findings will be published in a proceedings.
