"erotics of place" idea generally. Any comment is welcome, but I'm especially
interested in these concerns:
1) How does Williams concept/practice of "erotics of place" fit into current
ecofeminst thinking and practice in general?
2) What particular value do you see in the idea?
3) Does the idea represent a shallow, sentimental attempt to connect with
nature, or does it seem to involve complex thinking (or perhaps, complex
intuition)?

Do you have web browser software loaded on your machine (or at least
available) ... or, if you are going through a university mainframe, does it
have Netscape or lynx or something?
If you've got the right software, finding web references is a matter of
logging into one of the web search sites (I'll see if I can find my file w/ the
addresses if someone else doesn't have them handy) ... which all permit
searches by keywords.

There seems to be an obvious omission, namely Ken Saro Wiwa, recently
murdered by the Nigerian government for speaking out against the ecological
destruction by Shell and Chevron of the Ogoni Land in Nigeria. So, if your forced
into using cars please BOYCOTT these companies as they are guilty of both
genocide and ecocide. In an English context one should also mention Jill Phipps
who died under a lorry while protesting against the Live Exports Of Veal Calfs to
the rest of Europe earlier this year. I hope people agree that animal issues are
ecofeminist issues.
