The University of Minnesota Program for Decision Cases is pleased to announce a
new World Wide Web Internet service to advance decision case education in
agricultural, food, natural resource and environmental sciences. The
CLEARINGHOUSE FOR DECISION CASE EDUCATION will help educators, students and
others learn more about decision case education through a listing of case
abstracts and other resource materials of importance to case teachers.
The clearinghouse focuses on decision cases developed within disciplines of
agriculture, food science and nutrition, natural resource management and
environmental studies.
The comprehensive catalog of decision case abstracts may be searched by
title, topic, or key words. Information on ordering of specific cases is also
included. The cases themselves are not contained within this site. Individuals
may submit abstracts of their cases related to agriculture, food science and
nutrition, natural resource management and the environment for possible
inclusion in the clearinghouse catalog.
A unique feature of the clearinghouse is an online conferencing option that
permits "forums" related to a wide array of case education-related topics.
These include:
-Cases and Sustainable Agriculture
-Cases and Student Assessment
-Fostering Discussion Using Cases
-Cooperative Learning with Cases
-Case Education and Learning Styles
-Case Research and Development Issues
-Cases and Education Technologies
-Case Topic Ideas
-Cases and Extension Education
-Cases and Interdisciplinary Teaching
The option exists for you to create your own discussion forum for a topic of
interest to you!
Come and visit us soon!
